As a model, don’t be surprised if you are asked to model your parts! Which body parts you want to model is completely up to you (!) but for me, I stick to hands and feet.
I get a lot of jobs that require great-looking hands and excellent hand-eye coordination. The coordination thing takes some practice but if you want to get your hands in tip-top shape, check out this quick fix.
To keep my hands looking youthful and supple, I turn to an old mositurizing trick passed on to me from one of my friends in production.
Load your hands up with moisturizer before bed (I use straight up Vaseline), put on a pair of cozy gloves and settle in for a good night’s sleep.
Try it! you'll be surprised at how great your hands will look and feel! Your veins will be smaller, the skin around your nails will be moisturized and your knuckles will no longer look dry and cracked.
I try to do this a few nights in a row if I know I have a hand modeling job coming up.
It works well with socks, too, so your feet don’t have to feel left out in the cold.
A manicure and pedicure will keep your nails in check. And, you'll need good, well-lit digitals of your parts, as well. Pair these with this little secret and you’ll be booking hand and feet modeling jobs in no time.
When I was writing this, I kept wanting to call this kind of work ‘hand jobs’ and ‘foot jobs’ LOL! This is not that kind of blog!
